PROGRAMME FROM DAY TO DAY
We have put together a diverse outdoor activity programme for you. Nothing is compulsory, everything is possible this week, it is after all your holiday! The final programme depends on the weather of course, however this overview will give you more insight into what it could look like.
You can check in at the NPC hotel chalet village from 4:00 p.m. If you arrive earlier, you can store your luggage at the reception. You can then already explore the area or unwind at one of the sun beds at the swimming pool.
We presume that most participants will arrive in the afternoon and have scheduled a first joint gathering at 4:30 p.m. While enjoying a welcome drink, we get to know the other participants and the staff.
Before dinner you can join a yoga class, or explore your chalet and unpack your luggage. You can of course also opt for a refreshing dip in the pool. From 7:00 p.m. we have dinner together in the restaurant of the accommodation.
We start today at 07:45 a.m. with a 75 min yoga session. Afterwards, a healthy breakfast buffet is ready for you from 09:00 a.m. We have opted for a buffet, so you can decide for yourself when you want to use it. We set out at 10:30 a.m. for a hike on the Emerald trail in the Habachtal, also known as the Valley of the Emeralds.
We first take the e-bike to the beginning of the valley, where we leave the bikes. The walk to the Enzianhütte takes approximately 2 hours. It is an easily accessible road, with beautiful nature. You have to be a bit athletic for this hike, but it is not a difficult trip. If desired, we can adapt the pace to individual participants. We assume that everyone is at the Enzianhütte by 12:45 p.m., where lunch can be enjoyed.
Around 13:45 p.m. we take the ‘Emerald Express’ - a special bus that is allowed to drive in the Hohe Tauern Nature Park - deeper into the valley towards Alpengasthof Alpenrose. In 2002, a rock avalanche dumped tons of debris from an emerald mine here. If you are interested you can borrow equipment to search for emeralds in the riverbed next to the Gasthof. You can also opt to walk 15 min even deeper into the valley to the romantically situated Moa-Alm.
We start the walk back around 3:00 p.m. The hike down from Gasthof Alpenrose takes about 1.5 hours. There we take the bikes again and cycle back to the chalets. If you want to get some groceries from the supermarket along the way, this might be a good time.
At 5:30 p.m. we have an afternoon yoga session. The joint dinner starts around 7:30 p.m. Most likely all the impressions and efforts of today have taken such a toll that you will be happy to walk back to your chalet and call it a night. Sleep well, sweet dreams!
We start today at 6:45 a.m. with a yoga session for early birds. One of the benefits of early morning yoga is that your day starts more consciously and energetically. Plus, it gives you motivation to get out of bed early. Afterwards, the breakfast buffet is ready for you from 08:00 a.m.
Today we are going to combine our first real e-bike tour with water activities. Of course the options depend on the weather. We start at 9:30 a.m. and cycle through Wald im Pinzgau via the old mountain pass towards Gerlos. At Königsleiten we turn to the Speicher Durlassboden, a large mountain lake. Here you can paddle board, swim or relax on the beach.
After all the water fun, we continue our bike tour around the lake around 12:00 noon. We have lunch at the Bärschlagalm, a beautiful farmhouse halfway up the lake. If necessary, we can charge our e-bikes in the cowshed. After lunch we cycle at a leisurely pace around the lake and back to the chalet village.
We will be back at the chalets around 2:30 p.m. You can organize the rest of the afternoon yourself: a late siesta, the sauna or a walk through the village? The afternoon yoga session starts at 5:00 p.m.
Tonight you can decide for yourself where and what you want to eat. A nice dinner in your chalet? That one special restaurant in the village? You could use your e-bike to go out tonight. If however a number of participants would like to eat together, we would be happy to coordinate this.
Today we take the gondola to the top of the Wildkogel Arena. In winter this is the ski resort of Neukirchen, in summer you can enjoy beautiful walks. Because we are organizing a yoga session on the mountain this morning, we start with the breakfast buffet, which is ready for you from 08:00 a.m.
We set off around 09:30 a.m. We walk through the forest and the village to the gondola lift in Neukirchen. The Wildkogel-Bergbahn takes us to an altitude of 2,087m. From the mountain station we reach the top of the Wildkogel in about 30 min via a fairly steep path. Here we roll out our yoga mat, take a deep breath in and out and enjoy a yoga session in higher spheres. From 12:30 p.m. there is an opportunity to have lunch in the mountain restaurant, which is located next to the Wildkogelbahn. The restaurant has a large terrace with a beautiful view of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
From 1:30 p.m. we start the trip down the mountain. We can decide on the options with the group: walking back from the top to the village or taking the gondola down. An intermediate form is also possible: take the gondola to the middle station or walk for an hour to the middle station. From there you can take the ‘Rutschenweg’ with a mat: ten stainless steel slides from 22 to 53 meters long. Disappear in tunnels, dive into potholes and fly through transparent chutes. From Gasthof Stockenbaum we then walk the last part back to the chalet village.
Before we start the afternoon yoga session, there certainly is time to relax. We have dinner together from 7:00 p.m. in one of the restaurants in the village of Neukirchen. We would like to introduce you to some typical regional dishes.
Today we are going to make a beautiful bike tour to the Krimmler Achental. Krimml is known for the Krimmler Wasserfälle. With a fall height of 380m the waterfalls are among the largest in Europe. You are able to take a walk up the waterfall, which many tourists do.
The most beautiful part, however, is above the waterfalls, in the Krimmler Achental, which most people do not visit quite often as a hiker. As we are organizing a yoga session at the Krimmler Wasserfälle this morning, we start with the breakfast buffet, which will be ready for you from 08:00 a.m.
At 09:30 a.m. we start the bike tour to Krimml. At the waterfalls we roll out our yoga mat and enjoy a yoga session in this special place. We will then continue the bike tour to the Krimmler Achental. The climb is tough, but manageable, even for beginners. You will be glad that you can put the bike support in its highest gear every now and then.
We enjoy lunch at the Tauernhaus around 1:00 p.m. Here is a charging station where you can recharge the battery of your bike. At 2:00 p.m. we get back on our bikes and continue our trip down. Via Krimml and Wald im Pinzgau we arrive back in the chalet village for some down time, before we start the afternoon yoga session. We have dinner together from 7:00 p.m. in a restaurant in the area.
We start at 6:45 a.m. with a yoga session for early birds. Afterwards, the breakfast buffet is ready for you from 08:00 a.m. After this we head towards Zeller See, a freshwater lake in the Austrian Alps. The lake owes its name to the lakeside town of Zell am See.
At 9:30 a.m. we leave by bicycle to one of the train stations of the ‘Pinzgauer Lokalbahn’, which runs past Neukirchen. This narrow-gauge railway follows the course of the river Salzach and runs through various villages towards Zell am See. A nice way to relax and discover the wonderful mountain landscape of the Pinzgau. The bike is taken on the train, so we can also use it in Zell am See.
Around 11.30 a.m. we roll out our yoga mats near the Zeller See and enjoy a yoga session there. After this we go to a restaurant with a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake, where you can have lunch.
At 13:45 p.m. we report to go rafting on the Salzach river. If there is a lot of interest to go canyoning, this is also possible or we split the group. This activity will take all afternoon.
We return by train and will arrive back at the chalet early evening. For those who prefer to do something different than an activity on the river, it is possible to cycle back to Neukirchen in the afternoon on the Hohe Tauern Radweg. Tonight you can decide for yourself where you want to eat. If a number of participants would like to eat together, we will be happy to arrange this.
We start today at 07:45 a.m. with the yoga session. Afterwards, a healthy breakfast buffet is available from 09:00 a.m. You can have breakfast until 10:00 a.m. today.
We end this week with a leisurely hike to Alpengasthof Berndlalm. This Gasthof is located at 1,514 m in the Obersulzbachtal, also in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The Berndlalm has a terrace with a great view of the most beautiful peaks of the National Park.
We start at 10:30 a.m. and take the bike to the beginning of the valley, where we leave it. The hike to the Berndlalm takes approximately 2 hours. The way there is somewhat of a tough climb in the beginning, but it is an easy road, with beautiful nature. We expect that everyone will be at the Berndlalm around 12:45 p.m., where you can enjoy a delicious lunch.
However, if you want - before or after lunch - to hike even further in the valley, this is an option. After 45 min you arrive at the Postalm, which is located at 1,700 m. You can also have lunch here, on a terrace with a magnificent view.
From the Berndlalm the walk back takes about 1.5 hours, from the Postalm of course a little longer. We walk down the Forstweg and cycle the last bit to the chalet.
The afternoon yoga session starts at 5:30 p.m. Afterwards, we have our "Last Supper" together at 7:30 p.m., in the restaurant of the accommodation.
Today we start at 6:45 a.m. with the last yoga session of this week. Afterwards, the breakfast buffet is ready for you from 08:00 a.m. The chalets must be vacated no later than 10:00 a.m. If you want to leave later, there is always the option to store your luggage and still use the facilities of the chalet village.
